Undulating Waltz

Lacy petticoats with countless layers floated across the skies today in an undulating waltz as the breeze picked up and swivelled direction to a more brisk south-westerly. The delicate skirts swirled and tangled themselves to gather in darker dense bustles, preening over the fog below. Occasionally the pale blue chill peeked out from gaps between the clusters, only to be swiftly hidden as the dancers merged and interchanged.
