The Charcoal Landscapes Collection:
Towards Raasay from under the Skye Bridge is part of my Charcoal Landscapes collection. It focuses on the knitting of mountains and hills, together with idling islands when they meet, usually on a loch, or far up high above all water and humanity. I love working in charcoal on textured paper, and find that the two almost sculpturally meld. The stark charcoal against the textured undulations of the paper celebrates the wintriness of the season which is when I tend to gravitate towards this way of working.
Towards Raasay from under the Skye Bridge would love to bring the magical meeting of lands and lochs to your reality.
