Standing proudly in her emerald robes with the sunshine trim, she’s watching the world and seasons pass. Night falls and she fills out to protect her abode. ‘Another day another wrinkle’ comes to mind and she smiles to herself, thinking she night just need another coat of paint.

Smile Door is part of my Doorways Collection. This collection has been created using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic with a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms a textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint and pattern have settled into.
