Print: Underneath The Arches

Cosily sipping tea and slathering clotted cream on fruit scones, I'm contentedly idling underneath one of these historic arches. My blooms have extended far beyond my stone confines and frame me beautifully. Soft petals brush my face and ruffle mildly in the breeze as I pour another cup.

Underneath The Arches is part of my is part of my Enchanting Shop Fronts Collection. My eyes are always drawn to interesting buildings, shops and streets, and you'll see that I love painting the rambling blooms that add an architecture all of their own around them! They're created using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms an imaginative extra-textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint seems to have magically settled into.
