Print: Taking Flight

So there was I, hair and make up done, sat there batting my eyelashes to all the passers by. Then a breeze ruffled  my carefully coiffured foliage, encouraging any willing departees to feel the air beneath them and take flight up into the world beyond.

Harrumph! I'll have to re-do everything now.

The Enchanting Store Fronts Collection

Taking Flight is part of my is part of my Enchanting Shop Fronts Collection. My eyes are always drawn to interesting buildings, shops and streets, and you'll see that I love painting the rambling blooms that add an architecture all of their own around them! They're created using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms an imaginative extra-textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint seems to have magically settled into.

Taking Flight would love to bring the magic of her textured architecture to you, wherever you are, reminding you of your favourite places in your happiest of dreams.
