Can you see me on this summer’s day, squirrelled away under the awning? Petals are preening under the sun, leaves unfurl to luxuriate in the rays. They expand in their flourishing and prettily beckon you to inhale their fragrance. You’ll find me waiting patiently for you to tiptoe between the flowerpots.

Prettily Beckoning is part of my is part of my Enchanting Shop Fronts Collection. My eyes are always drawn to interesting buildings, shops and streets, and you'll see that I love painting the rambling blooms that add an architecture all of their own around them! They're created using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms an imaginative extra-textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint seems to have magically settled into.
