Festooned in chilli garlands, she’s resplendent in her colourful corridor. She doesn’t need to be seen by millions, just joining her cheery decorative companions in their merriment (and she might mischievously drop a surprise present on the heads of people opening her).

Chilli Door is part of my Doorways Collection. This collection has been created using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic with a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms a textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint and pattern have settled into.
