Friday has rolled around and presented itself all over again! Is it me or was that a spectacularly swift week?
Looking at my diary, with all the lists with ticks (the ink ones, not the crawly kind) next to their items, I appear to have been (and indeed felt that way) pretty busy all in all. I can only deduce that it’s been a time of process, where I’ll all of a sudden have a stash of things to show for myself. Who knows? Maybe I’ve been in an other-worldly dream state all week!
I am in the foundational process of redecorating my studio and home after I’ve realised that the smoke markings from the fire late last year is more extensive than first thought. How can a fire which essentially was only smoke, have been so definite in its presence? To be honest I could have been kidding myself too, after the first load of manic cleaning I thought it was ok. Not having been in that situation before, I naively thought that just the one big deep clean would sort it. But no, it seems that only sugar soap and a big paint session is going to make things more liveable again.
Thoughts of relocation are also wandering through my brain cells - I think lots of people who live on Skye feel a bit like this in the middle of the tourist season, but this has been lurking in my mind for a while now.
So, lots of brain cell gurgling there then! No wonder I feel a bit squiggly.
I do have Lynne’s Art Shed open today and tomorrow in Waternish, Isle of Skye (click here for more info), and a Live From My Studio session this afternoon at 4:30pm BST (click here for the joining details) where I’ll be applying the first layers to my new painting:

I’ll also be exhibiting at the Treehouse in Lochcarron on 4 - 6 August:
All the work on the walls will be from my paintings so far this year which is exciting. This time it will be more of a rummagey exhibition, so I’ll have racks and boxes to rifle through, and I intend to be drawing there too.
A new Wild Abandon-themed candle is now available in my ArtOnEverythingShop on Etsy too:
Perhaps there has been a lot happening this week. Mmmm…
Wishing you a happy weekend and week ahead x
