Studio News w/e 12 June '26

Lots of planning and then replanning this week as the days presented their own twists and turns. Much combining of house and studio multi-tasking has occurred. With a chimney sweeping and roof inspection (we have sprung a but of a leak it seems, never something to aim for) to include, it's frankly had quite a structural feel, Maybe the planets are realigning in house shapes in the sky :)
I have been up to quite a bit though, trying to get a spot of normality in as the days settle after the exhibition and website rebuild. I've been updating the links on my Pinterest account daily (they all become defunct when one changes one's website), and here are some highlights of the other things I've been up to:
The website is coming along, and this week I've added a page to help you access my paintings in a way that hopefully suits you from wherever you are. Photography is great, and I'm pleased with my painting images here, but photography can sometimes flatten texture, whereas video shows texture in all it's beauty. As the paintings in my Beautiful Blooms and Enchanting Store Fronts collections have oodles of texture, and people love seeing them in person to appreciate this, a video call is potentially the next best thing, especially if you live a fair distance away. You can book to view your selected painting(s) in their entirety, see them twirled, in different lights, whatever you like. Click the button below to book a slot:
My latest painting from the A Year of Magic & Fairy Tales course:
I usually enrol on a Willowing Arts course each year, and this year I'm taking the A Year of Magic and Fairy Tales course. This week saw me completing The Enchanted Castle module:

Learning is a core belief for me, and I realise that none of my paintings and drawings on any session I take are perfect in any way, I'm just sharing them so you can see what I'm up to. They make my brain think differently, and I believe that no-one can ever know everything, so enjoy soaking up and practicing new techniques and mediums.
I love these courses. You can dip in and out and there's no time pressures - perfect for me.
New Flouncily Flamboyant-based products in my ArtOnEverythingShop:
Flouncily Flamboyant-based ceramic coasters are new into my ArtOnEverythingShop on Etsy this week:
Live From My Studio session
It was lovely to chat online to visitors to my Live From My Studio session today. I was starting the collaging stage for a new painting - literally just at the paper-tearing stage, so I'll show you the progress made in next week's Studio News.
That's it from me this week, have a fabulous weekend x
