I drove to the end of one of the roads and chanced upon Melby, near Sandness, where I found a beautiful beach. Storm Malik had been at large the previous day and the waters were easing back off the land. The road is cut out of the rock and I rather liked the look of it's lumps and bumps. Not so much of an official parking place as much as one of the somewhat typical random large flat areas that appear at the side of these roads over time.
